Hell and High Waters – Moongypsy Press – April 23, 2010

Crime is at an all time high in the neighbor but Marcus Hamilton has not lost his fate in God. New Orleans is still rebounding from a killer hurricane, the contractors are making some progress repairing the church he attends and the New Orleans Saints has just won the Super Bowl. Things aren’t perfect but with a little prayer and diligence he hopes thing will get better.

Then he meets a man named Mr. Redd who promises to help the church by making a sizeable donation just for a moment of Marcus’ time. Can this be real, Marcus wonders, or are there strings attached? Rich white men never came to the Ninth Ward for any reason except to buy up property.
